Plate forks are designed to support installing keyboard switches in flexible plates (i.e. PP, PC, or POM) because they are susceptible to bending/compressing during installation.

Standard plate forks are awkwardly shaped - but the Pocket size is smaller than a credit card! Fits in your wallet or drawer for easy storage.
